Earning Good With Hard Work on Roadside

Taxi Driver asked me if I could take breakfast from a roadside vendor on NH 16 this morning on my way from Rajmundry to the village where our little champ Devanwesh is staying in a special school hostel. I readily said a Big Yes and Lo! It was superb to have tasty idlis, Uttapam with delicious chutneys. I talked to the vendor. He is from a nearby village. Some years back he thought there was better life in Hyderabad and hence had moved there to open a Tiffin corner on the street. But the competition from many vendors who too had left their villages in search of a better life was very tough. He returned back. However he had learnt to live the hard way. Now he gets up at 3 am. Prepares the items by 6 am and opens his Umbrella near a Petrol filling station. Gradually, thanks to his mission to serve quality food, vehicles even moving at a high speed make a halt. By the time he pulls down the umbrella by 11 am , the Sales touches @Rs. 5000/- . I wished him better days with best of his efforts and moved ahead as Devanwesh was waiting for me in his hostel to return home : Koraput is calling him.
