We celebrated Diwali two times  on the route between Koraput to Bhubaneswar last night. The tyre of the VOLVO bus of OSRTC exploded near Laxmipur. The bus started moving after the wheel was replaced by fitting the spare wheel. The driver was careful and hence by the time the spare tyre too  exploded, it had reached  Mohana at 5 am. The new Dawn greeted with uncertainty as it was in need of another VOLVO bus to get a replacement wheel. The Puri bound bus was contacted which had left Rayagada  some hours  back. At last the hope was rekindled by seeing the Malkangiri – Puri bus which  shared its spare wheel for our bus ar 5.30 am. It was no  less than Grace of Mahaprabhu Jagannath  for rescuing His Children. Now we are travelling to Bhubaneswar almost 3 hrs late. While the bus driver & conducter were appologetic they were seen helpless on the face of a rotten system of administration in OSRTC. Passengers wondered how come the authorities release long route buses to cover more than 500 kms on such poor tyres. The response mechanism is also too poor. Passengers cursed OSRTC, many with pledges not to travel in OSRTC in future. Blamed the ministry for the lack of sincerity and authentic concern for Achhe Din. They also wondered if the CM could intervene to make OSRTC more responsible, sensitive and accountable. Jai Jagannath
