ପ୍ରିୟର ପିଲାମାନେ । ତୁମ ଅଙ୍କୁରୋଦଗମ ପତ୍ରିକାର ପ୍ରଥମ ସଂଖ୍ୟା ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇଲା । ତୁମ ଆଗ୍ରହ କୁ ନେଇ ଆମେ ଗର୍ବିତ । ଏଥିରେ ତୁମ ଲେଖା , ଚିତ୍ର , ବକ୍ତବ୍ୟ ତଥା ଗୀତ ସ୍ଥାନ ପାଇଛି । ଏମିତି ଆଗକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମେ ଓ ତୁମ ସାଙ୍ଗସାଥି ତୁମକୁ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରୁଥାଅ । ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ସଂଖ୍ୟା ର ବିଷୟ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ତୁମକୁ ଅତି ଶୀଘ୍ର ଜଣାଇଦେବୁ । ସେଥିରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯୋଗ ଦେବ ବୋଲି ଆମେ ଆଶା କରୁଛୁ ।

Sabara Srikhetra means Second Puri

Koraput it is the Switzerland of Odisha.It is also known as Sabara Srikhetra means 2nd Puri.It is the inhabitant of tribal people .In Koraput so many tribal groups can be seen like the Paraja , Kondh etc.
There a lot of festival celebrated in Koraput but the main or special festival celebrated in koraput is rath yatra (car festival).It is celebrated in the month of June or July, annually.This festival is celebrated magnificently in koraput.
On the day of rath yatra the devotes go to the temple of Lord Jagannath and bring the deities to the grandly decorated ‘Rath'(chariots).All the three gods have their own chariots.There are also name of the chariots like the rath of goddess Subhadra is known as ‘Darpdalan’,rath of God balabhadra is known as ‘Tallodhawz’ and the rath of God jagannath is known as ‘Nandighsh’.
After the Gods and Goddess are kept in the chariots, the chariots are pulled by the devotees to the Gundicha Temple.Where , the God and Godess stay for nine days and they wear different clothes they are known as ‘Besha’.Name of the ‘Beshas’ are Marshya,Kuma,Vaiaha,Vamana,Narsingha,Rama, Parshurama and Kalki.These Beshaw reflects something like kalki is the end of life on the earth.
In between the nine days there are a lot of rituals and in the fifth day of rath yatra ‘Hera Panchami’ is celebrated.It is the ritual where Godess Lakshmi comes angrily because Lord Jagannath didn’t brought her to Gundicha temple chok with him,due to angriness she breaks a piece of the chariot of lord Jagannath.
At last,at the day of ekadashi Lord Jagannath and his cousins return to the temples and that day Gods and Godess wear ‘Suna besha’.After reaching to the temple Godess Lakshmi allows God Balabhadra and Godess Shubhadra into the temple but she doesn’t allow Lord Jagannath to the temple because she was angry.To make her convinced Lord Jagannath give Rasgulla to Godess Lakshmi and this is how Rath Yatra is celebrated in my town Koraput

Rath Yatra is a festival which is associated with lord Jagannath and this festival is celebrated all over the world, just like in my town Koraput, Rath Yatra is celebrated very well in Koraput, there is also a very famous temple of Lord Jagannath in Koraput.

It is the same lord and the same culture but the way of celebrating Rath Yatra in Koraput is different. It is worth visiting koraput’s sabara srikhetra Jagannath temple soak in the tribal culture of the place. Koraput rolled out three chariots for sibling deities .Hordes of tribal devotees from far-flung villages descent at Koraput during the Rath Yatra.Special invitation are sent to the villages much in advance.Among the tribals who take active part in the Rath Yatra are Bonda, Kondh and Paraja.On the day The Chariots are pulled,they dance Around The Chariots as it Moves.They brave hilly terrains and rickety transport just to have a glimpse of their Lord and seek his blessings.

 ମହାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶ୍ରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଦେବତା l ସେ ସର୍ବ ପ୍ରଥମେ ସଉରା ଆଦିବାସୀଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ଦାରୁ ବା କାଠରେ ପୂଜା ପାଉଥିଲେ l ପରେ ପୁରୀରେ ବଡ଼ ଦେଉଳରେ ପୂଜା ପାଇଲେ l 

 ଆମ କୋରାପୁଟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ରେ ବହୁ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କାଳରୁ ଶବର ମାନେ ବାସ କରି ଆସୁଛନ୍ତି l ଏମାନେ ନିଜ ଦେବତା ଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଥମେ ପୂଜା କରିଥିବାରୁ ମହାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ସ୍ଥାନ ହେଉଛି ଏହି ଶାବର୍ ଭୂମି l ନିଜ ଜନ୍ମ ମାଟିରେ ପୂଜା ପାଇବା ପାଇଁ ମହାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ l ତାଙ୍କ ଆଦେଶରେ କୋରାପୁଟ ସହରରେ ଶବର ଦେବତା ଶ୍ରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କୁ ପୂଜା କରିବାପାଇଁ ଆଜକୁ ଏକାବନ ବର୍ଷ ତଳେ ଟିଣ ଘରେ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା l ପରେ ଆଜି ଆମେ ଦେଖୁଥିବା ଏକ ସୁନ୍ଦର ମନ୍ଦିର ତିଆରି କରାଗଲା l ଶବର ମାଟିରେ ଶ୍ରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ପୂଜା ପାଉଥିବାରୁ କୋରାପୁଟ କୁ ଶାବର ଶ୍ରୀକ୍ଷେତ୍ର କୁହା ଯାଏ l ଏଠାରେ ଆଦିବାସୀ ଚଳନି ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଦେବତାଙ୍କୁ ପୂଜା କରାଯାଏ l ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଜାତି, ଧର୍ମ ଓ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନିର୍ବିଶେଷରେ ସମସ୍ତେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ଠାକୁରଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ କରି ପାରିବେ ଓ ଭୋଗ ମଧ୍ୟ ଖାଇ ପାରିବେ l

ଶ୍ରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଜାନିଯାତ୍ରା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ରଥ ଯାତ୍ରା ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ସବ l ଆମ ଶାବର ଶ୍ରୀକ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ରଥ ଯାତ୍ରାର ସ୍ଵତନ୍ତ୍ର ପ୍ରକାରର l ଏହି ଯାତ୍ରା ରେ ମହାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ରଥକୁ ଆଦିବାସୀ ଜାତିର ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଦାସୀ ନାୟକ ପ୍ରଥମେ ଛେରା ପହଁରା କରନ୍ତି l ତାଙ୍କ ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ପଗଡ଼ି ବାନ୍ଧନ୍ତି l ଏହାପରେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଗ୍ରାମର ଆଦିବାସୀ ଲୋକେ ଆଣିଥିବା ଆମ୍ବ,ପଣସ, ସପୁରୀ ପ୍ରଭୃତି ଫଳ ଓ କୋଳି ଠାକୁରଙ୍କୁ ଅର୍ପଣ କରିବା ପରେ ସମସ୍ତେ ରଥ ଟାଣି ଥାଆନ୍ତି l ଏ ବର୍ଷ ତିନୋଟି ରଥ ତିଆରି ହୋଇଛି l ସବୁ ଜାତିର ଲୋକେ ରଥ ଦୌଡ଼ିକି ଧରି ଜୟ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ଡାକଦେଇ ଟାଣି ଟାଣି ଗୁଣ୍ଡିଚା ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ନେଇଥାନ୍ତି l ସେଠାରେ ଠାକୁର ନଅ ଦିନ ରହିବାପରେ ସେହି ରଥରେ ବାହୁଡ଼ା ଯାତ୍ରାରେ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଫେରି ଆସନ୍ତି l
