In a significant boost to local education, the Rotary Club of Jeypore today sponsored a new school gate and a wide array of essential materials for Dhepaguda Primary School.
The initiative, held at the school premises, underscores Rotary’s commitment to fostering a supportive educational environment for young students.
The donation drive aimed to provide crucial resources to students, including a water filter, fans, and various stationery items. These provisions are expected to significantly ease the burden on students from economically challenged backgrounds and enhance their learning experience.
Rotarians from diverse professions actively participated in distributing the materials, personally ensuring that each child received the much-needed supplies. This hands-on approach reflects the club’s dedication to directly impacting the lives of students and promoting inclusivity in education.
The event was attended by a host of distinguished guests, including BEO Chandan Kumar Nayak, Headmistress Shankari Dalapati, Rotary Club President Amar Budhwar, Secretary Narayan Nisonko, Club Social Services Chairperson Sivaji Patnaik, Sponsor B. Srinivas Rao, Vice President Ganesh Patnaik, and Correspondent Nishan Patnaik, alongside other senior Rotarians, and Club BOD Members, school authorities, and local dignitaries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rotary Club President Amar Budhwar emphasized the importance of education, stating, “Education is the most powerful tool we can offer our children. This small gesture is part of Rotary’s commitment to uplift and support the communities we serve.”
Teachers and school staff expressed their gratitude for the timely support, highlighting that the donations would be particularly beneficial for students whose families face economic hardships.
